Development is starting to fill in at the recently developed intersection of Veterans Parkway and Madison Street.

The Courtyards at Golden Gateway, a “luxury ranch-style” single family community for those age 55 and older, has started construction and is beginning to offer homes to reserve for purchase.

It’s part of Epcon and is being developed and built by Kelly Construction Inc., which discovered Epcon communities in Des Moines.

The 131-home community will range from $400,000 up to about $1 million and offer three floor plans that can be customized in size and finish. Each floor plan includes single-level living and a private side courtyard.

Community amenities include a clubhouse with a pool, pickle ball court, golf simulator and community gathering spaces. A homeowners association will include lawn care and snow removal.
