New baseball, softball training center to expand beyond original plan

Oct. 31, 2025

It hasn’t opened yet, but demand already is strong enough that a new baseball and softball training center is adding space before cutting the ribbon.

Visual Swing Baseball & Softball Academy is at 3901 W. 53rd St., in what had been the warehouse of the former Target Card Services building. It’s sharing space there with Intek Cleaning & Restoration, which is occupying about two-thirds of the 90,000-square-foot building.

“We have access to nearly 15,000 additional square feet,” said Raymond Williams, who owns Visual Swing with Matthew White and Trevor Hurley.

“Based on the overwhelming interest, we expanded by 2,000 square feet to ensure we have enough room for everyone, with the flexibility to expand further if needed.”

The expansion will provide a larger team cage area, featuring five cages that can be divided or opened up for infield drills and other fielding work.

The cages also can be separated into short hitting stations, increasing total capacity from 11 cages to 13 to 20, depending on the setup of the new addition.

Because of the change, the grand opening has been shifted out a couple of weeks and now is scheduled for Nov. 22.
