Minnesota-based facial bar to open Sioux Falls location

June 9, 2021

A Minnesota-based facial bar focused on providing accessible skin care is planning to open a Sioux Falls location later this year.

Face Foundrie was founded in 2019 in Edina, Minnesota, by Michele Henry, the woman behind Primp, a clothing boutique that also has a Sioux Falls location in downtown.

Henry’s vision was to make quality skin care more attainable, and that meant same-day bookings, a menu of consistently updated services and affordability.

Face Foundrie offers a variety of skin care and facial services, including mini facials, focused facials, brow services such as waxing and lamination, and lash services.

“You can get in and out in an hour, and you can see results,” said Cheyanne Thurston, chief marketing officer.

In January, Face Foundrie opened up to franchising, and already the business has 52 commitments, including the one in Sioux Falls, which will be owned by a Minnesota couple, Thurston said.

The Sioux Falls facial bar will be open by the end of the year, hopefully early fall, Thurston said.

Face Foundrie also has a line of skin care products, including a collagen spritz, which was formulated with the help of a doctor in Germany using the same technology used to treat burn victims.

The business is also developing another line under the Face Foundrie umbrella that will be entirely manufactured and produced in Minneapolis with a focus on “elegant aging” and sustainability, Thurston said.

A location hasn’t yet been announced for the Sioux Falls Face Foundrie, but Thurston said site tours are underway.
