Log home, new house top sales report at $800,000

A log home west of Dell Rapids and a new home in Harrisburg that sold for $800,000 tied for the No. 1 spot on a list of the most expensive residential sales for the week of Jan. 27.

The log home was built in 2001 on a 6-acre site with a pond. The 3,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Features include a double-sided stone fireplace between the dining and living rooms. The property has a three-stall, metal shop building that looks like a barn.

The 3,800-square-foot ranch house in Harrisburg has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Features include a walk-in pantry in the kitchen, a walk-in closet in the master suite, gas fireplaces in the great room and lower-level family room and an epoxy floor in the heated garage.

The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are for Sioux Falls unless noted.
