Need a night out of your house without the kids?

You can all enjoy a break when you sign them up for Great Night Out, a new offering from GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness.

Members can drop off kids age 2 months to 12 years at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, at GreatLIFE’s Woodlake Athletic Club for two hours of fun.

It’s organized by the GreatKids program, which regularly offers free child care filled with activities while members work out at Woodlake or Performance Center.

Great Night Out is only $15 per child and open only to GreatLIFE members while spots last. There are four spots for kids 2 months to 2 years and 16 spots for kids 2 to 12.

“We just have a good time,” said Lisa Rappana, a member of the GreatKids team. “This is our second time holding a Great Night Out, and the first one went really well. Parents really appreciated it, and the kids had a good time.”

Kids should eat dinner before coming and bring their beverage of choice. Puffy popcorn will be served as a snack.

“We’ve played kickball and dodgeball, we have board games going, or if they just want to watch a movie, that’s fine,” Rappana said. “They can come in pajamas if they want and bring a blanket and pillow.”

GreatLIFE is aiming to offer a Great Night Out monthly, she said.

“We want to keep it very affordable and give families an easy way to have a positive experience. Last time, one mom went for coffee with a friend, one family went on a date. You can go get a massage and not feel rushed or just enjoy two hours to yourself.”
