What brought you to Sioux Falls?

My family.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

Unlike other cities, Sioux Falls has always felt like home to me. I know my people, and I always feel comfortable in the most-crowded places. I think it has been pretty easy for me to love this place because it has loved me back.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Being able to interact with partner agencies that make up the Network of Care. The staff using our software truly are amazing. Collectively, they impact lives of many on a daily basis. I am just a small piece of that puzzle, and this role has humbled me every day.

How did you get connected to your industry?

A friend of mine that works for the United Way. I just adore her, and she got me really excited about the nonprofit world and all that it has to offer.

Describe the Helpline Center in three words.

Innovative. Collaborative. Hope

What’s your favorite way to personally give back to your community?

I love to volunteer and also do random acts of kindness.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

I would like to see a matchmaking service here in the Sioux Falls area! I can see myself being a mini Patti Stanger in my spare time.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I definitely see myself in a leadership position. I am so passionate about the nonprofit community here in Sioux Falls. There are so many ways we can help those in need in our community that have not taken shape yet, but I am willing to be the change I want to see for this city.
