A longtime bar on East 10th Street has closed.

A sign on the door at the Stop Light Lounge at the Interstate 299 interchange reads: “Sold bar. Closed July 31. Thanks for the good years. Butch and Wally.”

Butch Frerichs said he and his brother, Wally, bought the bar 32 years ago.

The building and liquor license are listed for sale for $775,000 with Bender Commercial Real Estate Services.
