Development Foundation names new workforce leader

A marketing and human resources executive has been named the new vice president of talent and workforce development at the Sioux Falls Development Foundation.

Denise Guzzetta most recently served as marketing development manager at BASF Corp. She also was vice president for North America at Crown Worldwide Holding and vice president of sales and marketing for Allegiance Relocation Services.

“With over 20 years of corporate marketing and human resource experience, Guzzetta brings a strong understanding of strategic marketing and business operations, which will allow her to understand corporate employment and workforce needs,” the Development Foundation said in a statement.

Guzzetta’s role is part of the strategic workforce action agenda of Forward Sioux Falls and will involve collaboration and coordination with employers, educational institutions, social agencies and local governments,

The role will seek to influence the supply and demand of specific occupations through marketing and education to current and prospective employers and employees, recommendations to educational providers and recommendations of best workforce practices to employers.

“Denise is a strong advocate for talent and workforce development having worked in the corporate environment and has the skills we need to develop a strong talent and workforce program for the Sioux Falls region,” said Bob Mundt, president and CEO of the Sioux Falls Development Foundation. “With her background in marketing and market development, we feel we will be able to implement the strategic workforce action agenda and assist our employers with their talent and workforce needs.”

Guzzetta will begin her new role Dec. 3.
