Here’s a look at recent changes in the business landscape in the Sioux Falls area.

Matt Jensen Marketing has a new name. The Sioux Falls-based firm is now Mend Join Make, which keeps the “MJM” in the name but reflects how the business has grown in the past 20 years from a solo operation to a 20-person team. The firm largely serves the ophthalmic industry and nonprofit sector.

Sioux Falls-based Avel eCare has acquired a Kansas-based provider of remote medication order review and on-site pharmacy management services to hospitals and health systems. The addition of Hospital Pharmacy Management Inc. strengthens and builds on Avel’s existing remote pharmacy services, the company said.

The owners of Papa Woody’s Wood Fired Pizza announced on Christmas Eve that they had closed the business at 701 N. Phillips Ave. A few days later, however, they said there was a possibility of reopening but nothing had been finalized. Lisa Esser and Steve Blumke started Papa Woody’s as a food truck in 2016.

McNally’s Irish Pub closed Dec. 22, but owner Nicki Ellerbroek said a week later that she hoped to have more information on the restaurant’s future soon. Ellerbroek opened the bar and restaurant at 6211 S. Old Village Place in 2006.

Sanford Health’s merger with Wisconsin-based Marshfield Clinic Health System has been finalized. The combined nonprofit integrated health system includes almost 56,000 employees, 56 hospitals, 4,500 providers, two fully integrated health plans, specialty pharmacies and nationally recognized research institutions. Sanford Health Plan and Security Health Plan will serve more than 425,000 members. The Marshfield Clinic region is a new health services delivery area of Sanford Health that will continue to serve communities in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The Marshfield brand will continue to be predominant within the Marshfield Clinic region.

Shenanigans Sports Bar & Grill has a new owner with a background in the restaurant industry. The restaurant at 1903 S. Ellis Road changed hands from founders Don and Jean Rose to Brandon native and restaurateur Paul Ode. The Rose family started the bar and grill in 1986. Their son, Andy, will remain as general manager.
