Capriotti’s opens second Sioux Falls location

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has opened its second Sioux Falls restaurant.
It’s located in a new retail center on the northwest corner of 69th Street and Louise Avenue that also includes Starbucks.
Franchisee Tonya Niewald could still use more employees but was able to hire enough to get the doors open. Her first location at Lake Lorraine opened in 2018.
The new one has an updated look and the full menu of hot and cold sandwiches and salads. A new line of sandwiches featuring Wagyu beef has been especially popular, Niewald said.
“The foodies really like it,” she said.
Hours are temporary for now, with the restaurant open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday.
It also offers outdoor seating.
Next up: Sweet Cheeks, a new locally owned ice cream shop that’s planning to open in the retail center later this summer.
