A westside Sioux Falls bakery will be closing after nearly five years in business.

Sugar’s Baked Goods and Sweet Treats began as an in-home business that grew to a retail store with a wide daily dessert menu.

“While we have enjoyed continued growth and success with the business over the past several years, we have made the decision to make a lifestyle change and pursue some new opportunities,” said Kari Popham, the bakery’s owner.

The last day for the business at 5329 W. 26th St. is expected to be April 23.

A public equipment auction will be held during the last week of April . Popham also said she will entertain selling the business and can be contacted at [email protected].
