Women’s apparel and home decor store Anthropologie is coming to The Empire Mall.

It’s taking more than half of the former Gap space, which has been vacant since last year.

Founded in 1992, Anthropologie is an American clothing retailer that operates stores worldwide and is part of URBN, a portfolio of global consumer brands.

Anthropologie is a “lifestyle brand that imparts a sense of beauty, optimism and discovery to their customer,” according to a statement from The Empire Mall.

“Their assortment includes clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty, swimwear, home furnishings, gifts and decor that exhibit influences ranging from vintage to global. Every Anthropologie store creates an experience for the customer, an escape from everyday. It is a source of inspiration and delight, where innovative merchandising, customer centricity and a thoughtfully curated array of products come together to create an unimagined experience.”

The store is expected to open before Thanksgiving.
