Weeks into reopening in downtown Sioux Falls, Paramount Studio Cocktails & Food is drawing new interest and repeat guests.
Vanguard Hospitality has repositioned the lounge adjacent to Minervas as a more intimate, dynamic environment, with two dedicated happy hours and a new look that leans into the age of the building.
“Being a shotgun building like this, it almost makes you question if this is a speakeasy,” co-owner Tim Meagher said.
Guests can choose from happy hour offerings between 4 and 6 p.m. and again from 8 to 9 p.m., plus order off the full Minervas menu.
The redesigned space is meant to reflect how many people choose to experience downtown — often visiting multiple establishments in one evening, Meagher said.
“Each space gives you a different feel, and that whole entirety becomes the experience versus one space becoming the experience,” he said.
At Paramount, guests will find refreshed artwork, access to a private dining space in the back of the lounge, plus couches and more comfortable seating in the front of the space.
“The biggest thing we want to accomplish is to set up an environment to connect and share whatever the evening is for you with the people that you’re with,” Meagher said.
“You might kind of lose track of time while you’re here.”
Paramount opens at 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
