Restaurant Roundup: Weekend brunch additions, Mother’s Day teas

Starting this weekend, Rivage Oak Kitchen now serves brunch on Saturdays in addition to Sundays. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here’s the menu.

Test runs of Sunday brunch buffets in March at Falls Overlook Cafe were popular enough that they’re now a regular offering. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and reservations are recommended.  Prices are $18 for adults, $9 for children age 4-12 and free for children 3 and younger with an adult purchase. The café also has added service on Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other days will be added as summer approaches.

Sunday brunch has returned to Sioux Valley Grille in Canton. The plated menu includes classic breakfast plates, eggs Benedict, custom-built omelets, scrambled egg dishes, French toast, breakfast burritos and burgers. For lighter fare, there’s a continental breakfast bar with fruit, pastries, parfaits, toast, oatmeal, cereal and a salad bar. Order it alone or as an add-on to a meal. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Chef Jeni & Co. is taking reservations for Mother’s Day tea parlor events. There will be a morning seating and two in the afternoon. Tickets are $65 per person and featured a three-tiered stand of savory and sweet offerings, tea service and a signature cocktail or mocktail.

Nunzios has introduced its Spring Veggie Collection of wood-fired pizzas: Morels & Split Peas, Allium, Wild Fennel and AA Dutch White Asparagus. See the full descriptions here. They’re available in addition to the Classic Collection.

M.B. Haskett’s Delicatessen has a new dinner menu.

Five new dishes have been added to the menu at R Wine Bar & Kitchen: Salmon Croquettes, Bayou Boil Pasta, Pesto Campanelle, Spicy Berry Sea Bass and Lemon Herb Salmon.

Sanaa’s Gourmet Mediterranean is hosting a Syrian and Lebanese brunch Sunday to benefit World Central Kitchen and its efforts to feed families in Lebanon. All proceeds will go to the organization. The food will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monthly specials at Monks Ale House include Melt Your Paddy’s smashburger with two Certified Angus Beef patties, New School American cheese, provolone, caramelized onion and burger sauce on caraway rye and Saved by the Bell pizza, which includes pesto cream sauce, chicken, pomodoraccio tomatoes, red onion, Parmesan, romano, fresh basil and a balsamic glaze.

And, stop by Monks all day on Saturday for a Drekker Brewing Co. tap takeover. Ten specialty craft brews will be on tap, and there will be a warm pretzel special. A Drekker staff members will be on-hand after 6 p.m.

The featured burger of the month at Alibi Bar & Grill is the BBQ Mac & Cheese Burger. A one-third pound patty is topped with pepper jack, queso mac-and-cheese and barbecue sauce.

Next door at The Scapegoat, April’s special pizza is Breakfast Pizza. A 12-inch hand-tossed crust is topped with an alfredo sauce, scrambled eggs and a choice of sausage, bacon or ham, finished with cheddar and mozzarella.

The burger of the month at 212 The Boiling Point in Brandon is Hot Tropic. It’s a one-third pound smash patty topped with pepper jack, grilled pineapple and spicy barbecue sauce.

Seasonal menu items have returned at Culver’s: Colby Jack Pub Burger, Strawberry Fields Salad and Lemon Ice Coolers.

Popeye’s is touting its first anime collaboration, Popeyes x One Piece with the studio Toei Animation. While the Luffy Bento Box is just Popeyes chicken and mac-and-cheese, the Luffy Bento Bundle includes Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade and Chopper’s Cupcake. Customers also can order the drink and dessert separately.

In celebration of the start to the Stanley Cup playoffs, wear a hockey jersey to Chipotle after 3 p.m. Monday for a BOGO entree offer. The deal is good in-person only for up to five free menu items per order.

KFC has three new Value Feast box options with different combinations of a chicken sandwich, KFC Snackers, tenders and nuggets. All come with fries and a drink. Prices range from $7 to $11.

Rewards members at Arby’s can get a BOGO deal on sandwiches every weekend in April.

The latest limited-time flavor at Nothing Bundt Cakes is Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl. It’s available in all sizes.

DQ Grill & Chill has introduced its summer Blizzard Treat flavors: S’mores, Cotton Candy and the new Strawberry Angel Food Cake.

Ziggi’s Coffee has three new matcha drinks: Cherry Almond, Mango Matcha Lemonade and Strawberry Matcha with vanilla cold foam.

For every drink purchased at The Human Bean on Earth Day, April 22, the coffee chain will plant one tree in coffee-growing regions worldwide in partnership with Trees for the Future.

Morrie’s Steakhouse has a new seasonal cocktail menu featuring Big Pistachio Energy, Smoked Bourbon Lemonade, Key Lime Pie Martini, Pineapple & Strawberry Mule and “Missed” Connection with Aviation cranberry and blood orange, Suro elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon, honey simple syrup and soda water.

Look’s Marketplace has a new round of featured cocktails: Aperol Spritz, Rose Spritz, Pinky & The Brain, Aurelia, Gin Sour No. 2 and Me Time.
