Additional downtown boutique to close

Dec. 17, 2025

A second downtown boutique has announced a closure this month.

Pasque Boutique is closing at The Steel District.

“Thank you to all who have joined along the way,” owner Alicia Engelking wrote in a statement. “You made it possible for me to give this dream a go. Thank you to my employees and everyone along the way.”

Pasque Boutique opened on the first floor of a mixed-use building at The Steel District in August 2024 after operating online since 2019.

Hours for this week will be noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The store’s merchandise is 50 percent off, excluding permanent jewelry.

A final day in business will be no later than Dec. 30. The boutique also will stop selling online, although Engelking is hoping to find a way to continue selling permanent jewelry.

Primp Boutique on Phillips Avenue closed this week after almost a decade in the city. It was part of a multi-store closure announced by its Minnesota-based owner.
