Queen City Balloon Bar has found a new home.

The locally owned business will be moving to The Bridges at 57th from its current storefront at 3220 E. 10th St.

“We’ve had our eye on new spots for a while, and when we inquired about this one, which had been empty for quite a while, things just fell into place,” owners Ryan and Christine Egan said in a statement.

The Egans said they hope this will help encourage “the wonderful symmetry” among cupcakes, balloons and celebrations as they move next door to local bakery Oh My Cupcakes.

“We love that it will be sort of a celebration corner with a more central location at one of the city’s notable shopping centers,” they added.

“This location has a lot more visibility and foot traffic that we weren’t getting before, and we’re looking forward to serving lots more people because of it.”

Queen City Balloon Bar, which started a decade ago, has a team of balloon stylists who create one-of-a-kind arrangements, garlands and gifts.

The transition to the new location at 5015 S. Western Ave. began Tuesday with an expected grand reopening in August.
