Roscoe’s Kitchen features Cheeto Balls, food truck favorites
July 2, 2025
A new food truck features a menu that hits many of the favorites from a kitchen on wheels.
Roscoe’s Kitchen, which is owned by Demetrece and Chelsea Plucker, got its start in early May and is starting to fill up its summer calendar.
The menu includes a smashburger, hibachi burrito and bowl, tacos, Philly cheesesteak, loaded nachos and Cheeto Balls, which are a mixture of ground beef, rice, cheese, peppers and onions rolled in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos crumbs and fried.

“The hibachi burrito and bowl include our perfected fried rice we make, with a choice of (ground) chicken or shrimp,” Chelsea Plucker said. “We make our own yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce over the top that gives it that sweet and savory taste.”

The burger and cheesesteak are served with fries, and the burrito and tacos come with chips.
Roscoe’s Kitchen serves 32-ounce homemade lemonade with a choice of flavoring and slushies with rotating flavors.

Starting the food truck has been a longtime dream for the couple. They have a background in catering and restaurants, most recently working at Cascata Italian Cuisine in the new Canopy by Hilton at The Steel District.
They also have made food for community events and got great feedback, with people telling them “We want your food again,” Plucker said.

One of the frequent lunch pop-up spots for Roscoe’s Kitchen is the parking lot at Empire Oil Change at 3520 W. 41st St. Locations are always posted on Street Food Finder.
The food truck can be booked for public and private events.
Plucker grew up in Sioux Falls, and her husband is from Mississippi. They met while both were living in Minneapolis. After having their first child, she wanted to move back here. Since then, they have gotten involved in the community, providing food for benefits and events, and meeting people through their children’s sports activities, Plucker said.

They’re planning to operate the food truck until the end of October, but that could change depending on the weather, she said. In the colder months, she plans to become a substitute teacher, and Demetrece will keep busy with his clothing store Trendz, which is at 3400 W. 49th St.
They also will offer meal prep and catering services year-round.
