It’s the one Sunday each year when three of your favorite Sioux Falls restaurants are all open — so you’ll want to make the most of it when celebrating the mothers in your life this weekend.

“Mother’s Day is an incredibly popular time for dining out, and we love being here to help our guests celebrate,” said Ken Bashore, CEO of Vanguard Hospitality.

“Certain times do fill up quickly, so we encourage reservations as soon as possible.”

Here’s a peek at what you’ll find on the menu.

Grille 26

Brunch specials blend with popular daily menu entrees on the Mother’s Day menu at Grille 26.

The breakfast charcuterie is plenty to share — especially when paired with a breakfast pizza.

Add a little spice to the day with the brunch steak fajitas — served with scrambled eggs and roasted potatoes — or the birria breakfast burrito made with red chile-marinated Premium Angus chuck roast from Hadrick Ranch.

You’ll find local producers showcased throughout the menu, including eggs from Fruit of the Coop, JJ’s maple syrup, L3 sausage and Hernandez corn tortillas.

Plus, add a fresh-baked caramel roll to any entree. Brunch seatings are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Prefer to dine in the evening? Grille 26 also will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. with a curated menu of entrees, including a 12-ounce New Your strip, chicken marsala and classic brick oven salmon.

Minervas

Head downtown, stroll by the new sculptures recently installed for the season, and treat Mom to an exceptional meal at Minervas.

From decadent creme brûlée French toast to locally sourced prime rib, Minervas’ specially crafted Mother’s Day menu features the freshest ingredients from regional farmers and producers. Whether Mom loves breakfast favorites, elegant entrees or the legendary Market Bar, there will be something on the menu to make her day delicious.

Several guest favorites from the recent Easter brunch are returning, and there are new additions, including a salmon Benedict. Across the menu, you’ll find a broad range of locally produced ingredients, including several that also are on the menu at Grille 26. Additionally, Minervas is featuring Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe-raised bison in a 6-ounce filet that’s bacon-wrapped and served with duck fat-roasted potatoes and creamy horseradish.

Plus, the popular Market Bar has even more to offer for Mother’s Day, with a selection of hot meats along with sweet treats from Oh My Cupcakes!

Seatings will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
