Downtown restaurant to relocate
Feb. 19, 2025
After a decade at Cherapa Place, Ode to Food and Drinks is moving.
The restaurant’s final day in the downtown building will be Saturday, owner Theresa Flannery Kramer said. She isn’t announcing the new location yet, which will remain downtown, because the deal isn’t final, but that should be happening soon, she said.

Flannery Kramer wanted to announce the closing before being able to say where the restaurant is moving because she wants to give longtime Ode customers a chance to eat in the space one final time.

“It has sentimental value to people, just the space,” Flannery Kramer said. Ode has been the location for proposals, anniversary dinners and celebrations of life, she said.

“Our goal has always been to provide high-quality food and a memorable dining experience. This move allows us to keep doing just that, ensuring that our guests can continue to enjoy our scratch-made dishes, hand-cut steaks, and house-ground meats.”
The new space will allow her to manage costs and keep meals “at a reasonable price.”
Hours for the final days are until 9 tonight, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Reservations are encouraged.
Flannery Kramer hopes to be in the new space about two weeks after that.
“All employees and (musician) Dan Larson are coming with us,” she said.

The menu and the space will be a little smaller in the new location, and the restaurant will continue to accept gift cards.
“Everyone’s favorites will still be there,” she said.
“This move is all about continuing what we started,” Flannery Kramer said. “We’re counting down the days until we welcome you into our new space.”
A deal is being finalized to bring a new restaurateur into the space at Cherapa Place, the building’s owners said. Details are expected to be released soon.
