9,300-square-foot contemporary home tops sales report at $4.4M

Two multimillion-dollar homes in Sioux Falls topped residential sales for the week of May 18.
The No. 1 sale was almost $4.4 million for a house on the southern edge of the city.
The 9,300-square-foot contemporary ranch house was built in 2023 on a 1.5-acre lot in the Grand Prairie Estates development. It has four bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The lower level of the house includes a rec room, multipurpose room, guest quarters and home theater, as well as a wine cellar, sauna and steam shower. Features outisde include a 2,000-square-foot covered patio with an outdoor kitchen surrounded by remote-controlled screens, heaters in the ceiling, a tile floor, TV and fireplace. The centerpiece of the backyard is a pool with fire bowls and water features overlooking the development’s pond.
The No. 2 sale was almost $3.2 million for a two-story walkout on the east side of the city. The 7,500-square-foot house was built in 2021 on 4 acres in The Crown at Arbors Edge development. It has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The lower level includes a full wet bar and wine cellar, gym, sauna and recreation room. The backyard features an in-ground pool, hot tub and covered kitchen. There’s an additional garage with a core floor.
