The Sioux Falls Young Professionals Network will hold its biannual summit Aug. 17 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

The event from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. is one of the largest young professionals conferences int he region and will feature a day of learning and networking.

Included in the summit is the presentation of the 4 Under 40 award, which is presented to young professionals making their mark in their industry and community.

“The 4 under 40 award was a big surprise and a great honor,” said Reggie Kuipers, president of Bender Commercial Real Estate, who was among those honored two years ago and will co-host the event with winner Taylor Rehfeldt this year.

“There are a lot of deserving young professionals working every day to make this city a better place to live, raise a family, help people, and grow businesses.  For me, the best part about the award was watching the video and listening to the nominators — Bradyn Neises and Alex Soundy on our Bender team — talk about why they chose to nominate me.  We talk a lot about being a team at Bender Commercial, and it meant a lot to me to have a couple teammates feel like I was even deserving of a nomination.”

The Young Professionals Network, or YPN, is part of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.
