Wells Fargo downtown branch temporarily closes — for lack of staff

Feb. 12, 2024

The downtown branch of Wells Fargo & Co. is temporarily closed.

The location at 101 N. Phillips Ave. is one of eight branches in the city.

A spokesperson cited “very low unemployment rates in Sioux Falls” as the reason for the difficulty staffing.

The bank is hiring and onboarding employees.

“We expect to reopen the branch within the next two weeks, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.”

The drive-up ATM is open downtown, and the next closest branch is 1801 S. Minnesota Ave. If customers need to access their safe deposit boxes at the downtown location, contact David Wells at 605-679-4307 or [email protected].
