Experience Sioux Falls has launched a video series to showcase authentic and original stories about the people and places that make Sioux Falls a travel destination.

The theme of the video series is “We Are Sioux Falls” and will be released in monthly episodes. Each video will have its own specific travel focus: Active Adventurer, Family Fun Finder, Culture Seeker, Music Enthusiast and Culinary Explorer.

“Our research has taught us that travelers to Sioux Falls are interested in these five categories, or personas, and that learning about experiences from the locals makes the storyline more trustworthy,” said Krista Orsack, director of marketing for Experience Sioux Falls.

The first video of the series, Active Adventurer, was released recently. Perhaps you have already seen it circulating on your social media channels. This video features Mat Tougas with Frontier Climbing, Cassandra Willett with Flow and Paddle, and Tuesday Vander Weide with Spoke-N-Sport.

Experience Sioux Falls is partnering with Kickturn Studios to complete the first series.

“Being able to showcase the people behind the experiences that make Sioux Falls great has been really fun,” said Wes Eisenhauer, director of Kickturn Studio. “Our team brings the technical capabilities, experience and passion to elevate their voices and shine a light on our city. I’m proud to be able to partner with Experience Sioux Falls on this project.”

Experience Sioux Falls sees this project growing into a longer series taking place over the next couple of years, Orsack said.

“Video is a key component in capturing the attention of travelers, so video is always a priority in our strategic marketing efforts,” she said.

Gathering high impact and engaging photography also will be a complementary project alongside the video series.
