Valentine features await at Minervas, Morrie’s Steakhouse

Savor a Valentine’s Day meal to remember with features at two favorite Sioux Falls restaurants.

Guests can order off the dinner menus at both Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls and Morrie’s Steakhouse but also can indulgence in special entrees and cocktails served Feb. 13 and 14 only.

At Minervas, a slow-smoked prime rib will be paired with salmon and red snapper mac-and-cheese, served with au jus. Choose from a 12- or 16-ounce portion, and add shrimp Oscar topping with fresh asparagus and hollandaise sauce or bourbon mushrooms and onions.

Toast the day with Love Potion No. 9, made with raspberry vodka, St. Germaine, fresh lemon juice, club soda and strawberry liqueur; Raspberry Romance, made with Grey Goose Berry Rouge, lemonade, raspberry puree and club soda; or Cupid’s Kiss, made with La Marca Prosecco, fresh lemon juice, strawberry liqueur and strawberry syrup.

And for dessert, enjoy an assortment of homemade macarons and white chocolate-dipped strawberries.

The menus will be offered from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

At Morrie’s, start off your meal with a smoked salmon crispy rice cake served with honey-smoked salmon in a soy ginger sauce with toasted sesame seeds, chives and pickles fresnos.

The featured entree is a market cut of 21-day, dry-aged beef from Haiwick Heritage Ranch in Highmore.

The featured wine by the glass is the Nicolas Feuillatte Reserve Exclusive Brut, while the featured bottle is the M. Chapoutier Belleruche Cotes Du Rhône Rose.

Valentine cocktails include the Pinky Promise, made with coconut fat-washed rum, pineapple juice and Amarena cherry juice.

Morrie’s will be serving from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
