What brought you to Sioux Falls?
I came to South Dakota for college, so I have been in the area for a while. After graduating from USD, Sioux Falls provided me with the opportunity to stay close to friends/family while still finding a career that allows me to utilize the skills I worked so hard to learn!
What keeps you in Sioux Falls?
The growing economy, the sense of community, the people and the proximity to friends/family to name a few. I have been living in Sioux Falls for 13 months now, and Sioux Falls has been nothing short of great. Sioux Falls has all the amenities of a larger city but still manages to maintain a small-town feel.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is that it challenges me every day. Working at a dynamic, rapidly growing company like ECG appeals to my competitive nature.
How did you get connected to your industry?
I majored in finance and received my MBA, so I knew that I wanted to begin working in finance of some sort. I came across a job posting for ECG through the university, and after doing some research on the company, it felt like a great match!
Describe Expansion Capital Group in three words.
Innovative, passionate, responsive — ECG’s core values.
What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?
Chick-Fil-A.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself continuing to work at Expansion Capital Group, providing small businesses the capital that they need, while still enjoying all the city of Sioux Falls has to offer!
