Upcycled art auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity

April 18, 2018

Work from more than 100 artists and carpenters will be auctioned Saturday to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls.

The pieces were created by upcycling donated items from the Habitat ReStore. They include cabinet doors turned into canvases for painting, pallet wood transformed into art and upcycled vases.

The auction will begin at 7 p.m. at The District. Admission is free. It’s the fifth year for the event, which is tied to Earth Day and has repurposed 450 ReStore items. The auctions have provided enough funding to build three Habitat homes.
