Upcoming free health fair blends health, safety, fun

Sept 14, 2023

This paid event listing is sponsored by Health Connect of South Dakota.

Interactive health and safety exhibitors, entertainment and freebies await at the 2023 Health Connect Festival.

The annual event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Sioux Falls Arena.

“The festival is a mixture of health education and fun,” said Fran Rice, executive director of Health Connect of South Dakota. “The booths will have an interactive component to help make the health and safety adventures fun for all ages.”

The festival began in 2001 and is a fit for everyone – “we have had newborns to 99-year-olds attend,” she said.

“This year, we have some new health-focused academic programs and businesses bringing in their great excitement about health and safety work. We also will have a traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine on Frankenstein!”
