Thunder Road to add second indoor fun center

July 9, 2019

Thunder Road is adding an indoor fun center in Aberdeen similar to the one it’s building in Sioux Falls.

The Aberdeen location marks its 25th anniversary this year. It’s located inside Wylie Park and includes a go-kart track, miniature golf, a bumper boat pool, a bungee trampoline and a laser maze.

Its new indoor fun center will be called Allevity Entertainment.

“We have heard the demand for ‘more’ — more to do year-round,” co-owner David Novstrup said.

“There is a need in Aberdeen for a place to get together to play, eat and socialize all year long. We are ecstatic to bring this type of venue to our community.”

The Aberdeen fun center will be about 20,000 square feet, while the Sioux Falls one will be 29,000 square feet. Both will have party and event spaces, mini-bowling, laser tag, a restaurant and bumper cars.

Allevity also will have an augmented climbing wall, ax-throwing and Ballocity, an indoor interactive play area. The Sioux Falls location will have a full-scale bowling concept as well as other attractions that haven’t been released yet.

Both locations plan to open in 2020.
