A restaurant’s opening day more than two years in the making arrives next week.

Minnesota-based The Tavern Grill will open its Sioux Falls location Nov. 13, after announcing its expansion to the market in 2022.

The restaurant at 4801 S. Louise Ave. has been extensively remodeled since it last served as Spezia in 2020, said Craig Egan, vice president of operations for owner Hemisphere Restaurants.

“We still have two dining rooms that can be utilized for private dining rooms,” he said.

“We extended the patio, and the bar has a garage door we can open to service guests at a bar top both inside and outside under a covered section of our patio.”

The menu features build-your-own burgers, salads and pizzas, with a popular Sunday brunch buffet served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We serve primarily made-from-scratch, Americana comfort food with large portions,” Egan said. “We believe in the team approach to our guest service.”

Hiring has gone well enough to get the restaurant ready to open, but applications still are being accepted. Apply at thetaverngrill.com.
