The Scapegoat opens east-side pizza shop

Dec. 20, 2023

A new option for pizza has arrived on the east side.

The Scapegoat has opened at 7400 E. Oak Grove Trail, which is east of The Willows apartments along Arrowhead Parkway near Six Mile Road.

It’s connected to longtime east-side bar and grill The Alibi, which relocated and opened in the building this fall, along with a casino.

While The Alibi is for customers 21 and older, The Scapegoat is family-friendly and features a menu of artisan 12-inch Neapolitan-style pizzas.

The menu includes four salads and eight pizzas, as well as a create-your-own option, and dessert features.

Pizzas can be made with four sauces — alfredo, garlic, pesto and tomato — and 15 toppings, plus an option for cauliflower crust.

Some signature varieties include The Fainting Goat, made with roasted garlic, fresh rosemary, thin-sliced red onion, mozzarella cheese and crushed pistachios, and The Irish Goat, made with pesto, pepperoni, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and mozzarella cheese.

The Scapegoat is still hiring for both kitchen staff and servers, general manager Todd Burns said.

Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. daily.

The Alibi to open next week in new location, followed by The Scapegoat
