Celebrate 10 years of tasting and fundraising as The Taste of Sioux Falls expands to a new location this year.

The popular annual tasting event and fundraiser for SculptureWalk will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 26 at ICON Event Hall, 402 N. Main Ave.

“The Taste of Sioux Falls is basically a 10-course meal,” said Hillary McQuade, vice president of marketing at CorTrust Bank and co-chair of the organizing committee.

“Guests will visit the tables of the participating chefs and restaurants to sample their delicious creations – everything from appetizers and main dishes to desserts! After tasting all the dishes, guests will vote for their favorite to be named People’s Choice. Plus, the event supports SculptureWalk Sioux Falls – what’s not to love about amazing food for a good cause?”

For this year’s 10th anniversary celebration, expect an extra special event.

“Highlights include a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, live music and an exhibit from BronzeAge Art Casting showcasing their sculpting and casting process,” McQuade said.

“We will also be celebrating the fifth birthday of the Arc of Dreams at the event, which has become a staple of our downtown and a true symbol of Sioux Falls.”

 The event has become so popular that it’s moving to a larger space, she said.

“We are confident the new space at ICON Event Hall will allow attendees to eat and mingle a little more comfortably, and it will accommodate even more guests,” McQuade said.

“With Taste of Sioux Falls being our exclusive fundraiser, your support of this event truly allows us to continue bringing art to the people. The funds raised help us invest in the participating artists, maintain the sculptures throughout the year, insurance costs and more.”
