Starbucks opens in southwest Sioux Falls
April 30, 2021
The new Starbucks at 69th Street and Louise Avenue is open.
The location in a new retail center on the northwest corner opened today, and it didn’t take long for loyalists to begin discovering it.
It includes a drive-thru, dine-in space and outdoor seating.
Developer Cresten Capital Holdings is putting together a portfolio of Starbucks locations throughout the region, founder Kevin Tupy said.
“It’s a great company with great coffee,” he said, adding his go-to beverage is a grande Coffee Frappuccino with almond milk. “And caffeine runs the world.”
Cresten also developed a location in Ankeny, Iowa, that opened last month and is opening a new location at 41st Street and Sycamore Avenue in June.
“In a post-pandemic world if you’re going to invest in real estate, it’s become apparent who the strong are,” Tupy said. “We’re working on a few more regionally.”
The retail center at 69th and Louise includes Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, which plans to open in May, and has about 1,500 square feet remaining to lease.
