Scooter’s Coffee has arrived in Harrisburg.

The new location is at 550 W. Willow St. and offers drive-thru and walk-up service, with no seating inside.

It’s the 17th location for franchisees Travis and Kristen Rhoades and their 13th in the Sioux Falls area. Others include Brandon and Tea.

In Harrisburg, “the population growth hasn’t slowed, and Willow Street is poised to be rebuilt to be a four-lane road, which in theory should drive more traffic, and it was time,” Travis Rhoades said.

“We always pursue what we felt was the best location, whether it’s in Sioux Falls or different options.”

The Harrisburg location offers the full Scooter’s menu of specialty espresso beverages, Scooot! Energy Infusions, hot and cold brewed coffee, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and savory breakfast options.

For today’s grand opening, coffee drinks will be buy one, get one free when ordered through the coffee shop’s app.

Since the recent soft opening in Harrisburg, “it’s been awesome,” Rhoades said. “We’ve been steady. Mornings have been great with people commuting to work and school … and people seem really excited and happy to see us, and we’re excited and happy to see them.”

Hours are 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends.

Scooter’s Coffee has more than 800 locations in 30 states.
