March 5, 2026

Winners have been announced for four dining competitions in February.

The Smoked Culture BBQ & Brews won the third annual Southside Slamwich, which featured 16 competitors south of 41st Street. The Sure Shot sandwich is available this month while supplies last. Smoked brisket is piled on a toasted ciabatta bun with smoked jalapeno cream cheese, raspberry barbecue sauce, dressed arugula and house-pickled onions. Other top five finishers were Golf Addiction, Lucky’s on Louise, The Attic Bar & Grill East and The Rush.

The winner of the Sioux Empire Pizza Battle will be on the menu at Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar through March. The Avenger is four pizzas in one. Thor has hot honey sauce, sausage, jalapenos and a sweet heat drizzle. Hulk is pesto, spinach, mozzarella, green peppers and broccoli. Moon Knight is creamy chicken alfredo, and Iron Man is pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers and mozzarella. Ten pizza places competed in the second annual event.
