Get ready to celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday July 31 with a special cake from Oh My Cupcakes. They sold out quickly last year, so the bakery is taking pre-orders this year. Send an email to [email protected] to check for availability. The cupcake shops will have in-store celebrations with other treats July 30.

Chick-fil-A and Scheels are competing to see who can collect the most school supply donations, with offers of free food and drink as enticements. Supplies for students in the Sioux Falls School District are being collected through Wednesday. Donate supplies at Chick-fil-A and get a free entree. Drop off items at Scheels at get a free small coffee.

Marco’s Pizza has added a cauliflower crust. The gluten-friendly option is available on any small pizza for an extra $2. According to a news release, the crust is supplied by Caulipower and has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Through August, customers can save 25 percent on a cauliflower crust pizza Monday through Wednesday by using the promo code CAULI*.

Sinless Sweets continues to have weekly pop-up shops ahead of opening its storefront in The Bridges at 57th. This week, owner Maggy Pickner is making gluten-free and vegan gourmet salads. She’ll have three options: pasta, barbecue tahini and cowboy. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in front of the future restaurant.

Have dinner with The Godfather from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. He’s stopping by Godfather’s Pizza at 5107 W. 41st St. to check in on his crew and pizza fans. You’ll also have a chance to win free pizza for a year.

Kane’s Baked Goods & Cafe and Rainy Day Coffee Co. are teaming up again for a breakfast pairing. The two food trucks will be serving from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in a parking lot at 10th and Minnesota. Kane’s will have its signature cinnamon roll sandwich, loaded breakfast potatoes, breakfast pizza, biscuit and gravy bake and baked goods. Rainy Day has a variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee and tea drinks, along with hot chocolate, cider and smoothies.

Parlour Ice Cream House has added coffee. The menu includes latte, cappuccino, americano, regular coffee and cold brew.

Remedy Brewing Co.’s fifth anniversary party is Saturday, and it’s tapping five new beers: Jason Samoas, an imperial stout made with cacao nibs and coconut; Five Year Haze, a juicy hazy IPA; Nonsense IPA, its original West Coast IPA; Summer Pants, a German pilsner; and Huckleberry Basil Kickball, a sour “made with, you guessed it, huckleberry and basil.” Entropy from Grand Forks, North Dakota, will play from 8 to 10 p.m. The Saucy Boyz in the kitchen will have a special food menu, and there will be games throughout the day.

Remedy to add ‘dive bar’ in production facility

The Good Earth Farm near Lennox is having weekly pizza parties on Saturday nights into September. The menu changes based on what’s in season, but this week, the wood-fired offerings include cheese, pepperoni, fig with garlic sauce, margherita with garden basil and Mexican street corn with just-picked sweet corn from The Harvest. Any pizza can be made vegan or gluten-free. The farm is open Saturdays from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m., and pizzas are served from 4 to 8. Pizza tickets must be reserved in advance, and here’s this week’s link.  And note: There won’t be pizza July 30 because there’s a private event at the farm.

Safari Bar & Grill has a new promotion: Military Mondays. Active-duty service members and veterans get 10 percent of meals after 5 p.m.

Intoxibakes is baking up holiday favorites as part of Christmas in July at the Jones421 Building. On July 29-30, the menu will include its popular Holly Cookies and several Christmas cupcakes, including Christmas Cookie Martini, Peppermint Bark and Spiked Hot Cocoa.

It’s perfect weather for summer cocktails on the patio, and Roundhouse Brew Pub has four new ones that take advantage of its full liquor license: Hawaiian Lava Flow, Back Porch Breeze, Reef Sunburst and Pink Blush.

Coffea Roasterie on Louise Avenue is featuring two drinks for summer. The Baum.com, which it describes as tasting like a hike through the forest, is an espresso tonic with a spruce and juniper simple syrup and a lemon wedge. The Peachy Keen mocktail features fresh peach compote, lime juice, ginger beer and Rwandan black tea concentrate, topped with a sprig of mint.

Morrie’s Steakhouse and Parker’s Bistro have been recognized by Wine Spectator for impressive wine lists and outstanding service. Morrie’s received a Best of Award of Excellence, and Parker’s earned an Award of Excellence. The magazine recognized more than 3,100 restaurants with its annual awards.

Changes in hours, service

Let Me Be Frank is temporarily closed. Owner Comet Kamalo Buum said he’s hoping to reopen the hot dog cart in August.

Cherry Rock Farms near Brandon has reopened for the season. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Watecha Bowl has changed hours from being open daily to closing on Sunday and Monday. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The Source Roastery + Taproom has new hours: 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
