Former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow along with bestselling author John C. Maxwell will headline the 10th anniversary of the RESGEN Men’s Summit.
Held Feb. 21 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center, the half-day summit will bring together thousands of men for a powerful day centered on leadership, faith, purpose and personal growth. Doors open at 7 a.m. with the program running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
After 10 years, the vision for the event remains: to help men grow as leaders, husbands, fathers and friends with faith as the foundation.
“Regardless of our stage of life, marital or financial status, career choice, etc., each of us can fulfill the vision God has for our lives,” founder Tom Henderson said.
“Attendees are also given practical tools and resources to help live out what they learn. Not only does the summit equip them with a message on their heart and tools in their hands, but they leave the day knowing they are now part of an entire community of other men who share the same goal of living out God’s vision for their life.”
The hope is that attendees “walk out feeling encouraged, connected to other guys and confident they can be the man God has created them to be,” he continued.
The five-speaker lineup also includes Henderson; Jonnie W, a comedian and storyteller from Nashville, Tennessee; and Sammy Adebiyi, a pastor and motivational speaker from Toledo, Ohio.
“With the crowd being diverse in so many ways — age, race, church/faith background and career — we try to diversify our stage as well in order to reach as many men as possible with variety in the messages shared. Every speaker brings a different style of speaking and expertise to engage, equip and encourage men to be Men of Vision,” Henderson said.
“With this year’s theme being Men of Vision, bringing speakers like John C. Maxwell and Tim Tebow, who have both a nationwide and global presence and also live this theme out in their daily lives, was a no-brainer.”
While reaching a decade of events is a milestone, each year isn’t a given, Henderson added.
“After each year’s event, we ask the Lord if he wants us to do another summit the following year. Once He has confirmed in our hearts that He does, we then do our part to begin to line up the right communicators with the right message for the right time,” he said.
“While some elements may be the same from year to year, we always add new elements to each year to keep it fresh. The event is done with a high level of excellence and is seen as a safe place for guys to bring friends. All the content presented by communicators is practical and applicable and, in addition to being challenged, men walk out feeling energized, equipped and encouraged. This combination keeps them coming back year after year and bringing other dudes with them.”
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at resgen.org. Financial assistance is available, and the event is recommended for those 14 and older.
