What brought you to Sioux Falls?

There are many things that brought me to Sioux Falls. A few of the major reasons are because of faith, a girlfriend at the time and all of the opportunity this town offers.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

I believe God called me here for a reason, so I have a sense of belonging. I am now married with one daughter and one daughter on the way. We are excited to keep seeing the city grow and raise our kids here.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

The people! It’s not about all the awesome homes I get to see. It’s about the awesome people I get to work with. The two greatest commandments in the Bible are to love God and love people. I am truly blessed to be able to do both of these by being a Realtor.

How did you get connected to your industry?

I used a friend who was a Realtor when I bought my first home. When he heard my current job at the time (Capital One) was shutting down, he introduced me to the idea. I always wanted to run my own business, and I felt God was calling me to a greater purpose in life. So I took the leap of faith.

Family, technology, training.

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

Through volunteering. It’s tough to pick a favorite place to volunteer because there are so many great organizations that help our community. If I had to pick, I love being involved in whatever my church Celebrate is doing in the community.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

This is a little extreme, but how cool would it be if we had an NFL football team that either held their training camp here or had a team in Sioux Falls! I think the Sioux Falls Packers has a good ring to it.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I visualize myself continuing to operate Illuminate Real Estate, which is the team I started last year. I currently have a full-time executive administrator, showing assistant, transaction coordinator and marketing team. I can see myself adding two to three more agents and more support staff to the team in the next five years. We will then intend to continue to set the bar high in every aspect of the home sale by creating an experience that will grow the team into one of the top producing and reputable teams in Sioux Falls.
