There’s a fresh, flavorful new addition to Profile’s food program: a line of ready-made meals perfect for members and nonmembers looking for convenient, nutritious dishes.

“We’re super excited for this,” said lead dietitian Alyssa Burnison. “We’ve heard from our members,  coaches and managers that our member base is looking for more fresh food options, along with more variety, convenience, flexibility and flavors to add to their meal plan.”

How it works

Profile Fresh is all done online. Both members and nonmembers can order through fresh.profileplan.com. Meals ship every Tuesday and arrive one to three days later.

“All ingredients are made to order, and you can order throughout the week. The kitchen doesn’t make the meals until Monday, and they ship the next day, so they’re very fresh and vacuum-sealed, so the shelf life is about two weeks,” Burnison said.

Pop them in the microwave, and they’re ready to eat in three minutes or less.

“You can order them on a one-time basis, or with our subscription model, you can order up to 15 meals and decide how often you’d like them to auto-ship, either every week, every two weeks, every three weeks or every month. You can always log in and modify your meals, plus you receive 5 percent off each meal,” Burnison said.

The meals

Profile Fresh is launching with 15 meals, ready to take you from breakfast through dinner.

There’s a chicken breakfast scramble, for instance, made with scrambled eggs, diced chicken, bell pepper, shaved parmesan and parsley.

Need an easy, healthy lunch at work? There’s a popular buffalo chicken veggie bowl with a cauliflower rice base.

Profile puts a healthy twist on chicken marsala, a turkey dinner, mac-and-cheese and chicken fried rice too.

“These meals fit a variety of Profile plans and phases,” Burnison said. “So members in our reduce or sustain phase will find meals that fit great into their plans.”

You also can filter by diet, if you have allergies or if you’re looking for something heart-friendly or gluten-free.

Pricing is definitely competitive with other meal-delivery services, she added.

“And these are filling meals. They’re great portions.”

“And our Profile coaches will be talking through meal planning with all our members as they introduce Profile Fresh as a new resource,” Burnison said. “There’s a QR code that’s easy to scan on your phone, so it will be integrated into the overall coaching and member experience.”

“We’re focusing on how Profile can help busy families with this service,” Burnison said. “We just did a friends-and-family event where we received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the taste, the variety of meals and the flexibility and convenience they offer.”

A taste of what’s ahead

Profile continues to develop more foods. Other new products coming yet this year and into 2022 include a line of beef jerky in original and teriyaki flavors in individually portioned packages.

Later this year, Profile will begin carrying its first plant-based bars in chocolate peanut butter and strawberry peanut butter.

“And we have three flavors of plant-based shakes and two chips,” Burnison said. “We’ve been working on bars for years and now feel great about the flavor. And they’re all pea-protein based, as plant-based foods have really blown up in the last year.”

A seasonal peppermint mocha shake will be released in November, and a much-requested cookies-and-cream shake is coming too. In early 2022, Profile will launch ready-to-drink shakes in vanilla and chocolate.

“We’ve had so many requests for cookies and cream, we’re really excited to deliver that and just think we have a great lineup of food that will be only getting better in the coming months.”
