Online fundraiser to help barber buy building

The owner of Nathaniel’s Barber Shop is hoping a crowdfunding campaign will allow him to buy his building.

Nathaniel Anderson opened the shop at 1401 W. 10th St. two years ago.

He also lives in the building.

The property was put on the market recently because the owner plans to move, but Anderson was unable to secure financing to buy it.

Friends set up a page on youcaring.com trying to raise $15,000 for a down payment.

“This business is something that Nathaniel has put his blood, sweat and tears, not to mention his heart, into and is truly his livelihood. Without his business, he will lose everything,” according to the the online fundraising site.

“Anyone that knows Nathaniel knows that he is a stand-up guy who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger if they needed it, and right now he needs us.”
