North-side bar, restaurant rebrands as Tinners North

Aug. 30, 2023

Tinners Public House has added a location in northwest Sioux Falls.

Northstar Grill & Pub at 4305 W. 61st St. N. has become Tinners North.

The two have common ownership and “just because of the success of Tinners, it was an easy transition, something we’re comfortable with, and it kind of fit what was already up there,” said Vinnie Olson, general manager.

Renovations have been made inside, but “there’s quite a bit more coming,” he said.

The Tinners menu from 69th Street and Minnesota Avenue is being used at the new location.

The restaurant group is still determining which version of its french fry ultimately will make the menu, and other popular favorites from Northstar likely will make an appearance, Olson said.

“The fish tacos will definitely make the next menu,” he said. “It’s the same exact menu for now, but we’ll adjust accordingly if we need to.”

Hours are being finalized.

The building also added a Deuces Casino earlier this year.

Both Tinners locations as well as Tavern 180 are owned by a group led by Kirby Muilenburg and Bryant Soberg. The two also have partial ownership in Wileys.
