Nick’s Gyros to open new location this month
June 11, 2026
East-siders could be eating at Nick’s Gyros by the end of the month.
The restaurant posted that June 25 is the target opening day for its new location at 3501 E. 10th St., which most recently was Caribou Coffee.
“It’s hard to believe, but we’re finally in the home stretch,” owner Kosta Sengos said in a social media post.
“Walking through the restaurant and seeing everything come together has me feeling excited and grateful. What started as an idea is about to become a reality.”

The restaurant is wrapping up construction of the building and training its team, he said.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, and followed along on this journey. It truly means the world to me, my family, and our team,” Sengos said.
“We can’t wait to serve the east side and become part of this amazing community.”
This marks 44 years in business for Nick’s Gyros.
Sengos’ father, Andy, who moved to the U.S. from Greece as a young man, started Nick’s in 1982 in The Empire Mall. A couple of years later, he moved the restaurant across Louise Avenue to the New Town Mall — now Empire East — and then to its home at 1512 W. 41st St. in the early 1990s. Andy Sengos retired in 2014 and handed the business over to Kosta, while continuing to keep up the landscaping, move snow and work a few lunch hours.
