Natural Grocers sets opening date

July 18, 2022

Natural Grocers plans to open next week in Sioux Falls.

The nation’s largest family-operated organic and natural grocery retailer has set 8:30 a.m. July 27 as its opening for the new location at 2601 S. Louise Ave.

It’s the former site of Northern Tool + Equipment, which has moved to a larger store at 12th Street and Interstate 29.

“Natural Grocers is thrilled to expand our family-run stores to the folks in South Dakota. When searching for new markets, we always look for areas in which we can serve the existing community with our Always Affordable pricing on the best organic and natural products available,” Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing, said in a statement.

“With its beautiful natural landscape, abundant outdoor activities and a vibrant cultural and food scene, Sioux Falls is a great fit for the first Natural Grocers store in South Dakota. We’re excited to meet the community and offer an engaging, friendly shopping experience with our world-class customer service.”

The grand opening will include discounts, gift card giveaways and a prize sweepstakes. The first 150 customers in line will receive a mystery Natural Grocers gift card, with varying amounts between $5 and $500.

Natural Grocers sells fresh, 100 percent USDA-certified organic produce, high-quality organic and natural groceries, 100 percent free-range eggs, 100 percent pasture-based dairy, 100 percent non-GMO prepackaged bulk goods, dietary supplements, body care products and household essentials. The grocer “prioritizes humanely raised and sustainably sourced meats produced without antibiotics,” it says.
