Mr. Donuts to expand to Holiday gas stations

Starting Sunday, doughnut lovers can pick up the new Mr. Donuts at any Holiday Stationstore in Sioux Falls.
The locally owned doughnut shop, which opened in January at 19th Street and Minnesota Avenue, secured a partnership with the 12 gas stations.
“We’ll have fresh doughnuts there at 5:30 a.m. every morning, seven days a week,” co-owner Kim Ueng said.
Customers will find a big variety, with 36 kinds of doughnuts being delivered daily.
“Whatever they can get from Holiday is what they can find at Mr. Donuts,” Ueng said. “Nothing is being changed. It’s the same doughnuts, the same recipes.”
Since Mr. Donuts opened earlier this year, Ueng has found outlets in area towns too. The doughnuts can be found at Kingbird Coffee Shop in Brandon, Lava’s Coffee & Cafe in Harrisburg, Roadway Express Stop at the Tea exit for I-29 and Sunshine Foods in Hartford.
Now that Mr. Donuts will be in all the Holiday locations, Ueng said he won’t need to open additional stores in Sioux Falls.
“You want them to sell as much as they can,” he said. “If they are a success, we are a success.”
