David Lemperle has been named CEO of Avera Health Plans. He will replace Deb Muller, who is retiring. Lemperle has 25 years of leadership experience, with 15 of those years in the health care industry. He most recently served as chief sales and marketing officer for SelectHealth. He will start his new role in August.

Through certification awarded by DNV GL Healthcare, Avera McKennan is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in South Dakota and the wider region and one of only 306 such sites in the United States.

Ashley Carlson, a project manager at Landscape Garden Centers, has been nominated for the Woman Leader of the Year Award from the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
