Nathan Skelley

Dr. Nathan Skelley, an orthopedic surgeon at Sanford Health, is the recipient of the Chester B. McVay Award for Excellence in Teaching and Research for his outstanding teaching and commitment to medical students at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Skelley is fellowship trained in sports medicine and treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He also serves as an associate professor at the University of South Dakota, where he is the medical director and team physician for the Coyotes athletic department.

City of Sioux Falls

Mayor Paul TenHaken has joined 19 other mayors from North America and South America as part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies City Data Alliance. As part of the group, the mayors will receive executive education and coaching on how to leverage data to strengthen city government operations, innovate public services and produce better outcomes for residents. This can include improving access to health care, reimagining waste management systems, expanding affordable housing or combatting homelessness.

Patrick Borchers, former dean of the Creighton Law School, has been added to the team at Goosmann Law Firm in an of counsel status. He continues to teach law at Creighton. Borchers is an internationally recognized scholar in private international law, federal courts law, and international arbitration. His work with Goosmann Law Firm will focus on federal courts, complex civil litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.

A New York transplant, Thompson brings experience from agencies ranging in size from global networks to small, independent firms. His career has taken him from coast to coast. His industry experience includes health care, energy, insurance, finance, behavior change, automotive and animal health.
