Mike Miller’s Let It Fly sets opening date

July 8, 2021

Let It Fly, the new restaurant from Mike Miller, plans to open at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 13.

The restaurant at The Bridges at 57th is doing training and invite-only events up until then, according to its general manager.

The location at 57th Street and Western Avenue originally was Bracco and then became Turks & Caicos Cabana Grille.

Miller and partners also have a Let It Fly restaurant in Memphis, but the Sioux Falls Let It Fly will be “completely different,” company president David Rodriquez said when the location was announced.

While there will still be sports bar fare such as bone-in wings, appetizers and ribs, the menu also will include higher-end dishes.

“We’ll still bring some of that Memphis flavor to South Dakota, but it’s going to be elevated a bit while still at a great price point. We aren’t going to be too fancy, but you will see designer dishes,” Rodriquez said.

The beverage menu also will evolve to fit the market but will include “a ton of local beers” and a full bar, he said.

While Miller lives in Memphis and has a busy travel schedule, he has family within walking distance of The Bridges and will be a regular guest, Rodriquez said.
