Klockers Mattress World is closing after 20 years in business.

The family-owned company at 4908 S. Louise Ave. has marked its merchandise on sale and plans to wind down operations by May 1.

Owner Alex Klocker is a third-generation retailer. His grandfather, Al, started Klocker Furniture in Hoven in 1936. His father, Jerry, founded Klocker Furniture in Pierre in 1967.
