There were a lot of reasons for Sam and Elizabeth Hagland to change their family’s fitness membership to GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness.

She appreciated the variety of classes, with great times and choices.

He loved the idea of unlimited golf.

“But the biggest part was the child care,” Elizabeth Hagland said. “It was just a great fit for our family and hit all the boxes.”

The east-side family became GreatLIFE members in 2023. Now, they’re daily visitors to the fitness centers, especially GreatLIFE Performance Center.

Sam is a remote worker based from home; Elizabeth, a freelance branding specialist, also stays home with Charlotte, 4, and Rhodes, 15 months, so being able to bring them to GreatLIFE’s child care while she fits in a workout “is huge,” she said.

“It doesn’t feel like there’s a timer on my workout when I know the kids are enjoying themselves.”

For Rhodes, the big endorsement is a tear-free drop-off, “and when we go to pick him up, we almost always have to pry him away from the toys he’s playing with,” Hagland said. “And the team there is invested in our kids. They were so excited when he started walking and popped a tooth; it’s just incredible.”

As for her own GreatLIFE experience, “I love the classes,” she said. “I’m a certified yoga instructor, even though I don’t reach right now, so I’m picky about class structure. I think they hire great instructors and have high-quality classes and options.”

Husband Sam enjoys golfing with friends during the season, “and they bounce around the courses,” she said. “He prefers the GreatLIFE courses to others in town, so that’s telling for how they maintain their courses and their standard of golf.”

The family also has taken advantage of their GreatLIFE membership to save on their annual membership to the Great Plains Zoo and has enjoyed swim lessons through SafeSplash Swim School at Woodlake Athletic Club.

“It’s an extremely warm pool, and sometimes inside pools can be chilly,” Hagland said. “We even prefer Woodlake to the Midco Aquatic Center. GreatLIFE’s fingers truly are all over town, and it’s just been a great fit for our family.”
