J. Crew Factory has arrived at The Empire Mall.

Today was opening day for the national retailer, which carries “preppy-inspired” apparel and accessories for men, women and children.

It’s located near Old Navy in the JCPenney wing in a space that most recently was Go Calendars, Toys & Games. That retailer moved to a smaller space across the hall.

The store is merchandised for fall and winter, with denim, sweaters, blazers and accessories.

It includes the brand’s kids line Crew Cuts too.

J. Crew Factory has almost 300 locations nationwide. It’s part of J. Crew Group Inc.

The opening is one of several lately at The Empire Mall, which added apparel store Garage near center court late this summer and just opened Stir Fry Express in the food court.

Seasonal retailers will start arriving soon, including See’s Candies, which is coming back after being gone in recent years and will fill the former Shoe Diva space next to Macy’s.
