Technology repair shop to close storefront

Dec. 29, 2021

A local shop that repairs game consoles, laptops and cellphones, and sells refurbished equipment is closing its storefront today.

Larry and Lisa Giannini started Bit’s-N-Byte’s 26 years ago in the basement of their home. It has been in three different storefronts since then and now is closing the shop at 1403 W. 12th St.

Today is the final day, but customers can drop by Thursday while the Gianninis are moving out for last-minute deals.

The game consoles and controllers have been sold, but there are still laptops, cellphones and games, Lisa Giannini said. They’re also selling display cases and shelving.

“We want to thank our customers in Sioux Falls for their loyalty and their business,” she said.

The shop closes at 4 p.m. today, but they’ll be there Thursday likely from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Giannini said.

Her husband will continue to do repairs, working out of their home once again and possibly opening a small workshop at some point, she said.
